Management Team

David Weinberg – CEO and Founder. Dave founded NEi Software in 1991 and leads the team of developers for NEi Nastran. He is a 25 year veteran of the CAE industry including extensive CAE and aerospace engineering experience with McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. Dave is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and KC-135R aerial refueling tanker command pilot with over 3000 hours of flying time. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Philip Potasiak – President. Phil brings to NEi Software over 20 years of software industry experience including 12 years leading 3 high growth software companies as CEO and President. He has also served as the CEO of Axis, Inc., an engineering and CAE services company based in the US with subsidiaries in the UK and India. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago.

Nicklaus Trebilcock – Vice President, Product Development. Nick has been the VP of Software Development and Principal Software Engineer at NEi Software for the past 7 years. Prior to NEi Software, he served as a Lead Developer at SimSci - Esscor in Lake Forest, CA for 10 years. He holds an MBA degree with an emphasis in Information Technology from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.

Katarina Weinberg – Vice President, Business Development and Founder. Katarina founded NEi Software in 1991 and is an integral part of the sales team. She has over 15 years of CAE industry experience in sales, marketing, and business development. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from California Polytechnic University.

Julia Oien – Vice President, North American Sales. Julia brings to NEi Software over 20 years of successful sales and sales management experience in the FEA software industry. She has held executive roles at noted FEA companies such as MSC Software and SolidWorks Simulation (formerly SRAC). Prior to her work in the FEA field, Julia worked in applications programming. She completed her formal computer science training at UCLA.
